Our tutors and student support programs are designed for older students.
However, we are very concerned about K-6 students and their needs, as higher level skills and academic behaviors are often set by elementary and middle school experiences..
If your child is experiencing behavioral issues at school, often it is because of disengagement from learning and not the other way around. Not every teacher can bring in every child to learning, but every parent can. If you build and reinforce the learning at home, your child will find learning more meaningful in class, and behavioral concerns may begin to disappear.

We strongly recommend that you become an active teacher of your child's core academic skills in math, reading, and writing. As adults, we use these skills all day long. Parents can bring their children into those activities to build skills and to share and to enjoy learning experiences together.
Vocalize and break down into individual steps your common daily tasks such as reading the headlines in the news, measuring food, dialing phone numbers, and so on. Please see our Student Success Podcast interview with Joy Ferrante, a talented math teacher, "Speaking Math" with Joy Ferrante for more on how to engage your child in learning every day.
